So I saw that they just announced Martin Short will be making a stop in Buffalo! Well maybe not exactly in Buffalo but really close! You can catch him out at the Fallsview Casino Resort on April 3rd and 4th! It will be an awesome show so I'm sure tickets will go fast! Better get your hands on a few when they go on sale saturday! And while you're waiting for those tickets keep yourself busy over at the Forestview Restaurant. They have a sinatra tribute there tonight. Also I bet you're children are definitely getting cabin fever by now this winter. Or you're getting cabin fever just having to be around them so much! Take them out for some fresh air this weekend at the Cabin Fever Family Weekend at Allegany State Park. Thw whole family can spend the day enjoying guided hikes, snowshoeing, learn how to build snow shelters, and so much more.

Tonight I'm definitely pulling on my sabres jersey and settling on the couch to watch the hockey game. The Sabres are taking on the Senators for a home game. Last time we played them we did loose but our boys are coming off of a 4 to 2 win on saturday night against the Bruins so they should be fired up and ready to go! Let's go Buffalo!! Beyond that if hockey's not what your craving tonight you can always check out the Burchfield-Penney Art Center. They have a really cool exhibit called Artistry in Clay, Fiber, Glass, Metal, and Wood. Or maybe you're more of a music person. Then I'd check out Mohawk Place at 8. It's their 6th Annual Syd Barrett Tribute. Also for this weekend you know what would be a really romantic date. If you went on a moonlight stroll under the stars! No i'm completely serious! Head over to Tift Nature Preserve on Saturday for their Full Moon Stroll. You can enjoy a strolling under the stars and moon while listening to the sights and sounds of winter. Oh and if you get really cold it gives you a good reason to snuggle close to each other! Bonus they will even have hot cocoa and snacks by the fire at the end of the evening!

So did you know that a snail can sleep for 3 years! I know a few people that could do this too. I'm pretty sure most of them work for Jack too! Anyways why not make it a movie night tonight at Regal Cinemas. The new one at the Walden Galleria is incredible, I love going there! Besides there have been a ton of new movies that were just released. The new Brad Pitt one is out, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Also the new one starring Jennifer Anniston and Owen Wilson movie, Marley and Me, was just released. That one looks incredible for the kids! Tonight would be the perfect night to head over to the Regal Cinemas and catch a movie! Also tomorrow night don't forget to get out your dancing shoes, grab a friend, and head over to Sangria's Lounge. They present Havana Nights: Free Salsa Classes. Oh and once you've learned to dance like they do on dancing with the stars you can always stick around for open dance after!

No it's not a cute, fuzzy cat like I was thinking it's a guy from the Poor Boyz. Don't be too disappointed because it sounds like a good show. It's at the Lafayette Tap Room tonight doing a solo acoustic show for everyone. Also tonight you can make you're way over to the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort. Tonight is the Cruisin' Classics Show. You'll get a night of singing and dancing to music of the 50s.

Go fly a kite! No I’m being serious! It might be cold outside but you’ll forget all about it when you get to fly a kite! Dress up in your snowsuits and winter hats and head over to the Gratwick Riverside Park in North Tonawanda and join the Great Lakes Kitefliers Society. They will be out flying kites that are large, small, and all different colors. Bring the entire family and your kites and go fly with them. By they way these guys are wonderful. If you’ve never flown before they will even show you how! Also today if you’re a Skier or Snowboarder you’re going to love this event! It’s the 11th Annual Jeep Holimont SkiScape. It will feature skiing, snowboarding, and learn and improve workshops. Interested people can enter individual races, but everyone is invited to cheer on everyone. Especially the firefighter competition! I’m not going to ruin what that competition is all about but lets just say you should be very exciting! Besides the event is benefiting Kids Escaping Drugs so you’ll be helping out a good cause while enjoying the snow!

So I have to congratulate my little brother Dan. He and his girlfriend Susie got engaged on St. Nick Day. I’m so excited for them! I just never realized how much planning really goes into a wedding. I’m actually being the nice big sister and taking them over to Brides World on Sunday at the Buffalo Convention Center. This event is incredible! It’s presented by Tuxedo Junction and they invited over 100 wedding specialist to help you out with the big day. Susie can even pick out my bridesmaids dress right there since there is going to be multiple fashion shows throughout the whole day. It’s going to take a lot of the stress out of planning that big day. I don’t think I could ask for a better way to kick of 2009 then with a fantastic win from the Sabres! Those boys were pumped up for the New Year and took the victory over Toronto with a 4 to 1 win. I’m hoping this is just an indication how the rest of the season will go for the Sabres! Our boys are back on the ice tomorrow for an away game against the Bruins. Beyond tonight you can pack up the family and head over to the Albright Knox Gallery for their Gusto at the Gallery Free Fridays. It’s their weekly series with films, music, kids’ activities, lectures, and so much more! You know with the holidays and new years, I’m sure there are a ton of people who got engaged! Happy New Years!! Hope everyone had a fantastic and safe night. so it's the fresh new start to a new year and you know what that means. New Years Resolutions. You know those ideas that we hope we will stick to throughout the New Year but yet will probably forget about by next week. Mine is to do as many jacktivities as possible. See i keep it simple and to the point. Something i'll enjoy doing and won't forget about. Let's kick off the new year right with killer jacktivities. Over at Whiskey Joe's tonight you hang out and enjoy the music from Papa and Mama Root. Send your parents, they will love it. It's song from the 60's Generation. Also still at the Hamburg Fairgrounds they still have the Holiday Lights Festival. You'll see miles of lights while experiencing a holiday magic show and Frosty's 3D Adventure. It's only till Saturday so if you haven't seen it yet you only have a few more days!

You'll get a night of live music from Western New York's own Exit! and Iki Smith and the Boogie Monsters! It's going to be an amazing party there so don't miss out. Beyond you can always take your friends and head over to the Water Street Landing and find out what free Henry is all about at their New Years Eve Show. Also Club W has a really cool party going on. They will be the only party in buffalo with an INDOOR BALL DROP!!! Yea you hear me right! Plus a confetti blast and free champagne at midnight! Oh and there’s no cover charge. Ok it's New Years Eve and I know there is a lot of fun things going on around town. Here are some of the important ones you're not going to want to miss. First of all over at the Agri-Center on the Hamburg Fairgrounds it's the BIGGEST 80s BASH!!! Seriously what a fantastic way to ring in the New Year! Party kicks off there tonight at. Plus you'll get music and dancing along with a celebrity look-a-like contest and a balloon drop at midnight!! Oh and you can really relive the 80s with the cars Kitt and Mad Max! But if you're not into the 80's or didn't grow up in them then why not head over and check out. Batavia Downs tonight you can celebrate with their live music, a balloon drop, along with a champagne toast and Fireworks at Midnight!
